Our Mission:

To empower students to achieve their potential as members of their family, parish, and community.
We, members of Immaculate Conception Catholic School, are enriched by tradition, rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ, and are a community of believers. We are growing together in faith, love, and knowledge of Christ. We live to serve God, our church, and our community and continually attempt to reach out globally in service to others. We strive to provide a Christian environment that is safe and secure; where students may grow spiritually, physically, emotionally, and intellectually. An environment where parents are encouraged in their role as a child’s first teacher and where children are provided the opportunity to utilize their gifts and talents to glorify the Lord. Our hope is that students are empowered to reach their full academic potential.

At Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Union, MO, we are committed to empowering students to reach their full potential as vital members of their families, parish, and community. Enriched by tradition and rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ, we are a community of believers growing together in faith, love, and knowledge of Christ.

We dedicate ourselves to serving God, our church, and our community. Our goal is to provide a Christian environment that is safe and nurturing, where students can develop spiritually, physically, emotionally, and intellectually. We recognize and support parents in their vital role as their child's first teacher and offer an environment where children can utilize their unique gifts and talents to glorify the Lord.

Catholic Identity

Immaculate Conception Catholic School, part of the Catholic Archdiocese of St. Louis, is deeply committed to nurturing the Catholic faith within our students. Our school is also an integral part of the Immaculate Conception-Union Parish, and our religious activities and education are closely aligned with the parish’s mission and values.

Mass and Liturgical Participation

Mass is celebrated with our school children three times a week, with an all-school Mass once a week. To ensure age-appropriate messages, primary students (grades K-4) attend one Mass, while upper grades attend another. Students are encouraged to actively participate in the Mass by serving as altar servers, readers, and gift bearers. This active participation helps them to develop a deeper understanding and connection to the liturgy.

Sacramental Preparation

Sacramental preparation is a vital part of our religious education program. Second graders receive instruction to prepare for the sacraments of First Penance and First Communion. In the fall of 7th grade, students begin their preparation for confirmation. While non-Catholic students participate in the sacramental preparation as part of their Religion curriculum, they do not receive the sacraments.

Faith Families

Our students are assigned to multi-grade Faith Families, each led by a teacher. These Faith Families meet monthly to explore different virtues, providing an opportunity for prayer, reflection, and discussion among peers of various ages. Faith Families also engage in school-wide activities that promote community outreach, fostering a spirit of service and solidarity within our school community.
