Prevent & Protect STL

THANK YOU FOR VOLUNTEERING AT
IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH AND SCHOOL

The Archdiocese of St. Louis has developed a new system for safe environment compliance called Prevent and Protect STL.  Everyone ministering to minors and vulnerable adults (clergy, employees and volunteers) in the Archdiocese are required and asked to register in the new system.  All volunteers and employees, new and existing, will go through the new system as outlined below:

This process also provides a layer of protection against the possibility of false accusations for those adults who are involved in our many ministries. If you have any questions, please call the Rectory office –  (636) 583-5144, Ext 3 or email icunionoffice@gmail.com.

To be eligible to chaperone for field trips, be a room parent, volunteer in the cafeteria, coach a team, or any other activity that involves working with or near the children of Immaculate Conception, the Archdiocese requires these criteria be met and verified.

All volunteers and employees will need to register for an updated background screening, attend or previously have attended a Protecting God’s Children (PGC) workshop, view two new online training modules on abuse reporting and the Code of Ethical Conduct, and agree to the updated Code of Ethical Conduct.  Get registered now so you can be approved to volunteer.

Go to or click on this website – preventandprotectstl.org

  1. Click on Register below the LOG IN button.
  2. Enter the passcode stlprotect when prompted.  Fill in the requested information using your legal first name for the background screening.  You will then create a username, password and password clue.  Agree to the Terms of Use and click SUBMIT.
  3. You will then be prompted to submit information for a background screening, register for a PGC workshop***, view two online training modules, and agree to the Code of Ethical Conduct.

***If you have previously attended a PGC workshop, the system will find and ask you to confirm your previous record of attendance.  You will not be prompted to register for an upcoming workshop.

All modules do not have to be completed at once, but once you start you must finish within 30 days or you will have to start over again from the beginning. Each module takes approximately 20 minutes. When all requirements are completed, your account will be approved and you will be cleared to volunteer or work with minors and vulnerable adults.

Victims of sexual abuse, in addition to contacting civil authorities are asked to come forward in order to receive pastoral assistance. Reports of abuse may be made to any Pastor or to:
